Sourcing Director- Now Live!
Sourcing Director Train the Trainer Session at UCSD on October 27, 2015
As of November 2nd, Sourcing Director is live within uBuy (UC’s eCommerce site). The uBuy Sourcing Director module has replaced Supplier Registration and Sourcing (SRS) for all new events and can be accessed at the following link: https://bids.sciquest.com/apps/Router/PublicEvent?CustomerOrg=UCOP.
Suppliers have been notified of the new system and informed of the requirement to create an account so they can participate in new sourcing events. The SRS site will remain available for users with an active event and they can continue using it until completion of award. A message and link on the SRS home page guides suppliers to the new site.
All Procurement Professionals needing to access to create events in uBuy are required to view the training videos now available on the UC Procurement Services website. Job Aids and Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) are also posted as resources. Campus Procurement Representatives, Subject Matter Experts and select power users attended one of the three Train the Trainer sessions offered in October to assist users and answer questions about sourcing event management.
In the first week of the launch, 22 events were already created! A survey soliciting feedback will be sent to users soon. Until then, comments are welcomed and can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to hearing more about user experiences as events move toward completion.
A special thank you is extended to the campus Sourcing Director Project Team (noted below) for all their hard work in launching the new system and to those who participated in the trainings and continue to provide support. Another recognition goes out to Susan Riddle for the amazingly diligent and collaborative work she has done leading UC through this far-reaching implementation.
